I hope these videos have helped you both find something of interest during enforced staying at home, but also inspired you to be more aware of the marvellous plants and animals which share our home. We’ve looked at common birds and insects of the garden and hedgerow, the rook and crow family, the chip stealers of the seaside and those elusive birds of prey. We’ve visited the extraordinary dragonfly family and hopefully laid to rest the myths of them being ‘horse-stingers’. We’ve also seen how those wonderful shingle plants and nesting birds are so vulnerable to our trampling feet!
This has been a celebration of the natural world, but I hope also a reminder that we are a part of that world which not only delights, but is essential to our well-being.
